Always kinda liked a DC-10. Not really sure why. Guess it just looked nice to me.

I prefer the blended look of the L-1011 with the third engine blended into the structure but agree the trijets were really awesome aircraft.

Back in the 80's, A-10s

Yep! A-10 without a doubt. Like a damn tank that flies and shoots big arse bullets and missiles and can drop bombs. Oh, and can take a shitload of damage and still f you up with it's guns and missiles and bombs!

Still say they should be making more and more of them everyday!

My first Thunderbird show was at Ryan Field. They flew F-100’s. First Blue Angels show, also at Ryan, they were flying A-4’s.
My first show was May, 1981 in Ogden,UT

A bad day as they lost a pilot in a T-38 that day.

A-10 without a doubt.

One of the leads on the Air Force testing begged, borrow, and stole into the 5th largest working armored tank army in the world. They used some CIA fronts to buy older Soviet tanks, rebuilt and got them all running to accurately test the A-10 against armor. They all could move around and fire live ammo. Just so the Air Force could test the A-10. They found out the original powder mix used in the ammo produced too much gas that could stall an engine, or both. They changed the formula and never looked back.

Amazing the shite they pulled back then
