F-14 Tomcat or A-6 Intruder tossup... seeing an intruder take of with two "silver bullets" was wicked.

Back in the 80's, A-10s use to buzz over our camp in the Honey Island swamp doing maneuvers. We didn't know what they were at the time, but they made a crazy whistling sound when they passed..

Always had an affinity for the SR-71 Blackbird, I was really into planes as a kid and had a calendar that used the SR-71 for my birthday month. Got really into them because of that. Plus all the other cool shite they do of course.

Brits once made some incredible planes.

The Vulcan used to fly at Barksdale AFB every year when I was a kid. Hearing that howl while waiting in line to get on base was more than I could bear.

Best ride I've ever had was a Pitts S2B, pulled +5.1 g's and -4.8 g's. Almost better than sex, not quite but almost.

Someone already posted the A-10 so I’ll go with the AC-130

SR-71 Blackbird

quote:

Its stealthy design reduced its radar signature, and if it were fired upon by a surface-to-air missile, its evasive action was to simply accelerate and outfly the assailant.
