I drink any and all types depending on the weather, environment, and how many I plan on drinking. Right now Samuel Smith Nut Brown Ale is probably what I would go with. Never had a better beer than Pliny the Elder but you cant get it here

I wish the IPA craze would go away. Everything is an IPA these days.

That's true. It just seems that everyone is coming out with some new IPA. I was talking with and Abita guy the other day and every one of their new beers is some new version of an IPA.

You hade mentione something about sours. I think that will be the new trend coming soon, if not already. I would like to see more Gruit beers. Personally I am kind of tired of hops as a flavoring agent, but I know I am in the minority.

IPAs are not something I particularly care for, but I've been able to find a wide variety of non IPAs so it doesn't bother.

sours are huge right now, especially in the NW

it is not much in the South yet, with just Jester King and J. Wakefield really making sours down here

Yes there are ans I guess I'm really complaing about nothing. It just seems that breweries, especially here in the US, are Hops crazy.

Have you tried all of Great Rafts offerings? I am heading to Shreveport soon. Are they only on tap or can I buy bottles or cans?

I'm going to have to look into this J. Wakefield you speak of. I'm on a big sour kick. I don't like overly fruity sours though. The closer to a lambic the less I like it.
