If for some reason I need to buy cheap instead, I drink Miller Lite, otherwise it's always Shiner

Posted by La Place Mike I wish the IPA craze would go away. Everything is an IPA these days.

I agree totally. I love all kinds of beer except IPA's. Might as well throw some fermented grass in your beer.
My favorites are stouts and Belgian Ales: Guinness, and Terrapin Moo-Hoo Chocolate Milk Stout.
Belgian Ales: New Belgium Abbey
Also like Newcastle, Alaskan Amber, and Surly Bender.

Porters, Ambers and Stouts here. Rogue Hazelnut Brown is very good. Also any of the Highland Brewery beers.

Last year, I got a shiner summer brew. It was grapefruit flavored. I was feeling adventurous, so I tried it. It was a mistake. One of the worse tasting beers that I have ever tried.

No particular favorite brand. My favorite style is Belgian stuff. Sours, quads, dubbels, etc. My go-to just depends on the occasion.. if I know I'm going to be drinking for an extended period of time, say tailgating, I'll stick to lower ABV beers, typically local like Parish Canebrake, Nola Blonde, Nola Brown, Parish Envie. If I'm trying to relax and have a really good beer at my house and not planning to drink high volume, then I will open up a bomber of something heavy. Currently I'm pretty stuck on Souther Tier Choklat. Just so damn tasty.

Red Seal Ale. Hard to find around here but it's damn good. A1A Ale Works in St Augustine makes 5 or 6 different beers/ales. Their ale is some of the best I've had. Torpedo Ale at Meehan's Irish Pub on Peachtree in Atlanta is really good. Also it's just a great pub. Going to Mexico end of the month and favorite down there is Indio.

I like the IPA's - the stronger the better! They're cold and bitter, like my heart...

Alaskan's whole line is stellar. They make about a half dozen year around products and an equal number of seasonal products.

I agree. A local car has it on tap here in Minnesota. I also really like their winter ale.
