Being able to make as much money as I do now but own a small restaurant on the gulf coast instead of being a nurse.

I would think most restaurant owners make more than a nurse's salary....Why not go for it?

I would have taken the risk before I had my daughter....now suddenly the money, benefits and stability are too hard to walk away from. BUT having lived in orange beach, a legit restaurant serving something other than pizza or seafood would do well.

perfect window was back in 08 when the real estate market there crashed, would have been been a great time to secure some property

I know! I lived there then. I kick myself frequently for not doing it when I had the opportunity.

Way more work/stress than being a nurse

Private nurse for a hypochondriac but totally healthy billionaire.
Full benefits, pays 3 times what I make now and allows my husband and dogs to live and travel the world with her/him.

For sure, and no way the paycheck a would be as big or as steady. But damn, few places in the nation are as pretty as the gulf. Of course I live in Oakland so I am a little jaded.

We have friends in Ogden and visited them last summer. You ain't kidding. They told us the day to go grocery shopping was on Sunday cause it's only non-Mormons in the grocery stores. Their drinking laws are strange as well.

I would love to have Anthony Bourdain's job.
not before he he was famous obviously, but now would be the tits. he was talking about taking LSD while they were eating these giant ants. he said could you imagine being on lsd and you look in the toilet and there are a bunch of giant ant heads floating around. it was on parts unknown when he was in columbia.
I own my own restaurant guys and i work about 70 hrs a week. Its is a big fricking pain in my arse. And if you want to do it go ahead, but you cant just sit at home and let it make money. that is basically how every restaurant fails. the owners arent there. Sure it is something i wanted to do, but it is not an easy life. only good thing is i dont have to answer to anyone, well i guess the customer and the health department.

Scruffy actually realized his dream job recently during this rotation. He is gonna be a pediatrician. Yep, that's it. Nothing too extreme.
