I kinda thought we all realized that vaccines were necessary and got over the unsubstantiated fear that they caused autism....

This non-vax theory has the most tin of any foil that I am aware of. Everybody loves to believe in a good conspiracy, but this shite isn't even a little bit plausible.

How many vaccines do kids get nowadays? Any that you didn't want your child to have?

Not trolling I have a serious question. In my late 20s with no kids. Is this non vaccination stance really a thing or is this thread just trolls trolling trolls?

I thought it was all a joke, but the more I think about it the more I realize white people are dumb enough for something like that.

This (if it's actually a thing) is something some Dumbass white person came up with. Probably on Facebook.

I'm white as hell, but I can see a white woman's bullshite drama coming from a mile away.

No to the HPV vaccination for middle school girls. Its suppose to vaccinate you from only a few strains of HPV (only 4), but there are a ridiculous amount of strains it is ineffective against. Hundreds of strains. It's called Gardasil. There are too many ridiculous affects, very permanent. Seen horror results from this.

Just so you know, it's been shown that the HPV is designed to stop the strands most likely to cause cervical cancer. It's not designed to eradicate the disease. Also IIRC a bunch of new studies have come out saying that the vaccine is working as designed. Cervical cancer has decreased among those who took the vaccine.

Vaccinations are good.

Diseases are bad.

I would argue otherwise. I got Guillian Barre from having the flu (Fishers Miller variation). My body was so worn down from the flu, even though I did not have the flu symptoms... My body started to attack thinking I still had it. It was the worst thing I had to go through. Luckily they caught it early and my swimming workouts allowed me to recover quickly. 4 bags of IVIG and a stay in the hospital.

I guess what I am saying is I wished I had the flu shot to avoid getting so run down and my system attacking my body.

That wasn't a troll. It was a standard sarcastic joke. You dumb or something?

No vaccines and kids will be home schooled. Public schools are cesspools for germs and fostering average intelligence and goals in life. No thanks.

Yeah because they will never leave the house and get exposed to strains in public.

Vaccines almost certainly don't cause autism but there are a lot of other potential side effects, some of them life altering.

Risk/Reward

Your child can most certainly die from contracting something that can be prevented by a vaccine.

The lack of knowledge on this board is scary sometimes. Reading your quote would make one believe the four hpv subtypes that Gardasil vaccinates against were chosen randomly. Gardasil vaccinates against hpv subtypes 16, 18, 6, and 11. 16 and 18 cause more than 70% of all cervical cancers (and an ever increasing number of head and neck cancers). 6 and 11 cause more than 90% of genital warts. Get your facts straight.

I'll just add to the doc by saying I've seen hundreds of these cases. Damn near 1/3rd of the head & neck cancers I saw over a 4 year employment period were secondary to HPV infection. One memorable case was a 27 year old, non-smoking, female needing a total glossectomy b/c of a T4 tongue cancer.

I can not understand a line of thinking that says it's absolutely vital to get vaccinated against long eradicated diseases, but let's skip the one whose virus has been proven to cause cancer. WTF?

The right one.

The fact that people try to have a debate about it legitimizes the opinions of the anti-vax people which is despicable.

Agree, but I would argue that the odds are pretty close to the same in most cases.

you are misinformed. if 10% of vaccinated people became autistic, you would know it. don't make up shite you can't back up. You are better than that.

not worried about cervical cancer shot. No shot for HPV. I would want it to scare my girls into celibacy until adulthood.

tetanus fine

the combo rubella pertussis shot, fine.

Would not get polio shot at this time.

HEP B series is mandatory for junior high and high school in my current residence.
I would conform to any mandatory shots. I don't really know if the HPV is mandatory. I would not want my kids to have it.

I can see not getting the polio shot since it appears to be eradicated from the planet.
