I wanted a large family, but after 3, and seeing how expensive it is, with 2 in College, cell phones, insurance( health and Auto), all the dang hobbies....It’s fun, but dang!!! I’m getting old for this ....

Always thought 0 to maybe 1. Ended up having three. As much as I love them all, three kids is to many.
When they were young the 3rd made us need a new house and new vehicles to fit 3 car seats. Now they are older its three separate practices each day of the week. Baseball here, dance there, soccer on that side of the world....etc.

I'm not really following most of the words in your post, but I have 4 children. I didn't really care if we had children or not. My wife wanted a big family until she realized how much emotional effort it takes. I regret it sometimes and sometimes it's really fun. So it goes.

5 but have 6 now. May try for another but last two pregnancies produced twins, so wife is a little hesitant.
