I spent 20 years as a paramedic. Despite some major burnout, I loved it.
I'm 5 years into safety consulting now, with a couple of certifications and almost finished with a degree. Hoping to get a Certified Safety Professional designation go into business for myself doing industrial and public safety consulting soon.
I started to reminisce and miss paramedic work, and recently went back into it as a part-time side job.
Edit to say that safety pay is much better than paramedic pay, though the latter was satisfying.

Well Frick you just ruined my boner because I only had a few years left of child support. Frick that private school my ex lives in a good school district. College is a whole different story though
