also you’re 15-20 minute drive from downtown Birmingham with tons more to do and Trussville which now has Ferus Brewery/entertainment area which is really nice and laid back and has good food.
Any of that stuff matter with Covid closures?

All the breweries and almost all the restaurants in town are open.

1) Find the net price of the food and drink served.
2) Multiply that amount by .15.

I felt the need to start him off slowly.
ETA: Even at a 15% tip, the waitress will probably wonder if she’s in Bizarro World.

Pretty much all has been said about Leeds. You'll be a quick interstate trip to downtown, and there are several breweries. Good People, TrimTab, Avondale, Cahaba, etc. Not a lot going on in the Bham area right now as far as entertainment, so breweries and restaurants is about it.
TopGolf may be open again.

Forgot to add the Sidewalk Film Festival happening during the last week of this month. This year, it's being held at the drive-in behind the outlet mall.
Co-founder of Sidewalk some 20 year ago? Orginal MTV VJ Alan Hunter, who is from BHM.

The museum at Barbers is a world class facility. People come from all over the world to go there.
This. It's a hidden gem in Leeds.
You can also cruise past Charles Barkley's childhood home. He bought the house next door and built a bunch of awkward additions to make one really large house for his grandmother. He also built a brick and wrought iron fence around it and had CB on each section. Or it used to, I haven't been in that neighborhood in 20 years.

Barber Motorsports Museum
This.
You can visit multiple times a year and see different displays every time. There is, on average, only 1/3 of the collection on display at any given time. You can visit the museum on a day or weekend when a race is going on. The road course track is beautiful.
The building itself is pretty cool. It is built to withstand high end hurricanes, and has a cool design. You can look down from the the upper levels onto the basement area where all of the restoration work is done.
I've visited probably 10 times over the years.

Wings, and I would also ask if the onion rings are made on site.
Have you not heard? Wings got the corona.

They are building a Bucky's over there, but not sure how far along it is.
Viewed from the interstate, Buc-ees is well underway, probably will be finished by Oct.

A very cosmopolitan area. I passed by around Valentines a few years ago and the local waffle house were taking reservations for the night, and was fully booked.

I’m from Leeds. Not from there. I was born there. I grew up watching The Who. Live at Leeds.
