Dead chickens in poultry houses. Nothing like finding a chicken that has been dead for 2 weeks thats bloated and about to explode. You grab a leg and it slides right off the chicken.

Mmmm mmm! I don't particularly care for bone-in meat if it's baked or fried, but it's hard to beat a well-smoked chicken leg. Truly a testament to the power of a good cook to make something out of next to nothing.

Rotting meat in a deep freeze that had been shut off for a couple of months. I did asbestos surveys for a school district that bought some abandoned houses to build a bus barn.
My district guy with the keys let me into this house that was last inhabited by a hoarder that we think was diabetic. There were needles all over the place. The guy died, and the family sold the property to the school district as it sat. I was down in the basement sampling the furnace when across the room I hear “wonder what’s in here…” I looked over and my key guy had that deep freeze open. He slammed it shut pretty quick, but the damage was done. I could’ve killed that guy. Goofy dude was like “that roast on top was green”. Moron…

Gangrene. Old man's legs literally rotting off his body. Another old lady with a shitty family who had rotting legs and maggots in the wounds. Will never forget the smell.

Certain kinds of stink bait used for catfish are unbelievable. The rotten garbage/food after Katrina was really something. Finally, I went to feedlot in Dodge City and it was intense. Just so much manure and bovine flatulence in a relatively small area.
