A hand on the back of her head usually works.

My dad told me when i’ was a kid that as a man, it is improper etiquette to extend your hand to a lady. Apparently you can shake their hand if they extend first. This has really fricked me up in the long run and has provided a few awkward meetings between me and female superiors

I read how she offers and act in kind. If she only offers fingers, then she'll get the dainty shake (my palm turned slightly up or down depending on situation). If she offers the whole hand, I'll be firm (but less than a male handshake)

Shake her hand the same as you would a male colleague.

Grab the hand.

Jam it in your crotch.

I was brought up to only shake a woman's hand when she offered it.

This is correct. A firm, not overbearing handshake while looking them in the eye.

Everyone on here has something different to say about this, proving that it’s awkward and that there’s really no clear cut “correct” way to do it.

I can't stand limp noodle hand shakes or dainty hand shakes. Just a normal hand shake is fine. That doesnt mean squeeze my hand. No clue why people do that either. That shite hurts when women have rings on.

Are you a man or a woman? Just wondering if this opinion is from a man or a woman.

I tuck my ring finger in and draw little circles on their palm.

I have big hands and would never bear down on a woman's hand. They almost always offer first. I am speaking strictly of professional settings.
