It’s not terribly illogical, but my wife simply cannot manage time. She’s horrible at estimating how long it takes to do things, go places, anything involving traffic, etc.

Sort of mind blowing tbh

that is bullshite, and you are making excuses for her

Simple fact is that she has no respect for other people's time.

TPLO surgery

We did that shite too

Course ours was on a $2000 European Doberman

We have 3 dogs that cost over $1000, all with papers. Why do we have to have papers? I have no idea. They're all fixed.

We have 1 dog that was free, found him under my parents house.

Guess which dog is mine. I'll give you a hint, it's the one that's the best behaved and well trained

While unloading groceries from her trunk, set her keys down IN THE TRUNK.

I do this all the time. But I don't ever lock my car. And there are 2 extra keys like 50ft away.

It blew me away that she would spend that much on non life threatening surgery for a mutt she found in the street

Your honor, the prosecution presents this as exhibit "A".

Your honor, the prosecution rests.

My wife legitimately does not understand money. Her parents failed her. It is too late and causes too many problems for me to teach her. My solution is I do all the bills and everything, don't tell her how much we have, and she has to get approval on all purchases over $100

I say no to everything first. If she wants something bad enough she'll get her way eventually

Yeah well it’s still the dumbest fricking place you could set them down.

Haven't locked my car in the 13 years I've been driving other than occasionally in "bad" areas. Nothing in it to steal.

In contrast, two of my friends have had their windows busted in from someone trying to steal from their locked car.

Also, you said unloading groceries. Presumably that's at your home. You really only have one way into your vehicles/one key at your own home? That's illogical.

I don't really know how to convey my thoughts here, but they are quite uncomplimentary to both you and your wife

You don't understand. I have seen this woman spend a month's salary on cute shite on Etsy/eBay. Within that month. Oops!

So does this mean she's allowed to buy unlimited sub-$100 things?

I'd just give her a card with a $400 limit every month and tell her go nuts.

I'm not super concerned with auto theft. If they want it bad enough, a locked door isn't going to stop them. Way more likely to have my car stolen while I'm in it driving through my ghetto shortcuts than I am to have it stolen from the Robert Market/Superior Highland parking lot or my driveway in a decent area.

And you know me, Rouge. Those are the only two places I go
