Met an older redhead chick at the Florabama years ago when I was single. Went back to her place.
Man, the peckerburns I got that night. Had to drink gallons of Gatorade and hydrocortisone all over my schlong to recover.

A few things.
The first was treating a rather extensive third degree burn. Cleaning it constantly, and ultimately using surgical scissors to cut off everything dead or infected. I was more scared of showing my mom than anything else.
Another, ended up stranded in one of the few places in Louisiana where you can be 18 miles from everything. Dead of summer. No water. Just a series of mistakes that got worse. I ended up having to fireman carry my gf at the time the last few miles. I'm not the most physically fit cat, but I learned that day that I can keep pushing through almost anything if I have to.
Fast forward six weeks or so... Ended up stranded about 3 miles behind the house in the eye of Gustav. Had a tornado touch down near enough to watch it obliterate a barn. Had rain literally tearing my skin. Shielded my eyes and kept walking. Skin torn by water has a very specific smell. It smells necrotic, spoiled... just wrong.
I have broken multiple vertebrae, a collar bone, dislocated shoulders, torn pectoral, I've been hit in the chest by ricochets. I've been stabbed through my left forearm. I've had a few beer bottles broken over my head. Cut a leader on a finger. Had my head go through a table. Had a dog bury his canines in my calf muscle. Been kicked by a horse. A deer. Trampled by a calf.
I won't say I'm indestructible, but I'm durable.

Trying to run a sub 13:30 5k. The training was stiff.....running 5 x 1 Mike repeats in 4:15......i nearly puked on a biweekly basis. Easy days were 10 miles. Didn't ever get under 13:30 but I was close. It hurt.

Tough Mudder
or a Half Marathon.
Tough Mudder was at least fun. Half Marathon was miserable.

pelvic radiation along with chemo for rectal cancer. by the end of radiation, I was seriously considering suck starting a twelve gauge. I have never felt such intense and long-lasting pain before that nor after and I have had over 100 chemo treatments and two liver resections since then. radiation and chemo sucks big time and there is no real relief. meds do help with side effects but nothing eliminates them!
