From the Dixie rule book. This is what we adhere to.
(1) A League Age 10 and under pitcher shall not throw more than 75 pitches in a game
or in a calendar day. Exception: If the pitcher reaches the daily pitch count limit while
facing a batter, he may continue to pitch until the batter reaches base safely or is put out.
68
(2) A League Age 11 or 12 pitcher shall not throw more than 85 pitches in a game or
in a calendar day. Exception: If the pitcher reaches the pitch count limit while facing
a batter, he may continue to pitch until the batter reaches base safely or is put out.
(3) A pitcher shall be allowed to pitch in two or more games on the same calendar
day provided he/she does not throw more than 30 cumulative pitches in the previous
game or games on the same calendar day
(4) All pitchers in local league play must adhere to the following pitch count rest
requirements before pitching in another game:
Required Rest
No Rest: 1-30
1 Day: 31-45
2 Days: 45-65
3 Days: 66+

Honestly, probably 50 pitches on a great day.

Coming from a guy who coached kid pitch travel ball the last few years, it really depends on what part of the season you are in and never more than around 70. We usually try to keep our kids around 40-50 per outing. They can go a little more than that as the season goes on and their arms build up strength, but everything is looked at and limited. If you go much above that, it is ok, but they will need additional days of rest accordingly. I'm out of coaching kid pitch for now until next year when my younger one is 9.
I have seen kids we are playing against go up to 90 pitches at 10 yrs old, and it makes me sick to my stomach. That's terrible and how you develop little league shoulder or elbow. Some people just don't care. A lot of all of this depends on a kid's throwing form and motion. If they have terrible form and use a lot of arm instead of legs, they will wear that arm out in no time.
