I wish my brother in law would have lost all his shite.

Not sure he beat that kid later that night, but I did say it was his dad's fault to their faces....and laughed.

Almost ran his Dad over in the process. Good times! Many beers were consumed later that day.

True story, I got hit in the head by a 200 yd drive last Saturday. Ranger had just finished telling us he had to split of a group of 5 assholes and sure enough the next hole it happened.

Heard a drive once and I stepped out to say WTF. Went back to my ball a second time, heard a second tee shot, then got hit in the head.

Guy claimed somebody ahead of us waved him through which was BS.

Still ended up winning that day but talk about a buzzkill.

One golfer had been talking smack to the other the entire 18 holes. If he hit it in the sand, the guy came up, patted him on the back, and said "nice shot, Saddam." If he hit the ball weakly, the guy would say "way to hit the ball, sugar britches." On the way off the course, in the parking lot, the guy that talked smack went to apologize to his friend, and, from behind, put his hand on the fellow's shoulder to have him stop so apologies could be made. Well, the guy was still mad, and went to knock the guy's hand off his shoulder; somehow, he accidentally slapped the guy upside his head. 2 guys with six figure incomes were brawling in the parking lot. Not one of my more fun golf outings.

Saw a friend hit a 3wood from 250yds into a par 5 on 2nd shot. Group ahead had gotten into their carts and started to drive off when one had apparently forgotten his wedge by the green. He ran back to get it about the time the ball got there. It hit him in the head on the fly knocking him out cold. Ball was head for the water on the right side of the green where the guy was walking but his head caused it to bounce onto the green. Friend ended up making the putt for eagle after the guy came to and stumbled off...crazy.

I work at Sherwood Forrest County Club right before it shut down and later became Oaks at Sherwood while in summer break in college. Some of the most hilarious things I've ever seen happened there.

CSB.

Meweldie(sp?) Moore came and golfed one day and it was after 2 (when I got off work) so I watched him play his first two holes, which was actually pretty damn impressive and thought nothing of it. Next day come into work and I'm driving the cart from the grounds shop to the front when I see something on the cart path shining. I stop and it's a wedding ring with diamonds all over it. Call him at 6am and at 9 am he showed up, asked to see the person that found it and gave me 300$.

Also, there was this fat guy that was around 400 lbs that was a member there, and probably one of the top 5 golfers to play there. One of those I wouldn't believe it if I didn't see it kind of things.

Playing on a very nice private course here in northern VA. Got invited by a patient one of the foursome took care of, free of charge so had to jump at the opportunity. Friend of mine airmails a tee shot on a par 4 near the end of the course, goes straight up no more than 50 yards infront of us but off to the right side of the fairway. Ball comes out of orbit and hits this slate roof and is loud as hell. We come riding up and find this 70ish year old lady standing there in her bathrobe and newspaper by her back patio. She asks "did you just hit my house?" My buddy replies with a courteous "yes ma'am, i apologize and hope i didn't cause any damage."

This sweet old lady follows up with "well, i've lived here for 15 years and my house has never been hit by a golf ball before.......doesn't say much for your golf game does it?"

My buddy humbly responds with "no ma'am, sure doesn't"

I was dying laughing from the cart, the rest of the foursome couldn't stop laughing at the green when I told them

quote:

A few years ago the day before one of my BIL's wedding, I decided to let my other BIL (age 9 at the time) drive the cart from the 18th tee box. Long story short, the wheel was slightly turned, he mashed the gas, and he ran us straight into the ball washer. Almost uprooted the thing He got so embarrassed, I almost felt bad while I was laughing. Luckily, no one saw, so I was able to stand it back up and finish the round.

ETA: This was at Metairie CC too, so that made it funnier to me.

Fact: there is no ball washer at MCC 18th tee.

Fact: I'm not sure if this debunks or proves your story.

We were playing at Lsu golf course where we bet 40 bucks a cart 2 on 2 and if you didnt finish your beer before you made your putt on each hole it counted as a stroke. We get all the way to 14 and are all hammered and had to drive back past one. There were about 5 or 6 carts waiting to tee off and my buddy driving the other cart smashed into a parked cart with no one in it right by the first tee. While about 10 people watched in disbelief he calmly put the cart in reverse and drove to 15, without saying a word.

Driver off the tee. He could hit his driver 290 consistently.
