It never gets too cold.
LSU football
Spring days perfect for grilling outside
Live After Five
Blues Fest
Hot Art Cool Nights
White Light Nights
St. Paddy's Day Parade
A muffeletta from Anthony's
A slice of pizza from Fleur de lis
A burger from Curbside on the patio
A pint night with old friends at the Bulldog's patio
Pinetta's red sauce
An underground rock show at the Atomic Pop Shop
Louie's hashbrowns at 2:00am
Jambalaya Jam
Roux Rally

If you're not enjoying life in Baton rouge, you either have a terrible commute due to a poor choice in neighborhoods or you're just not a very fun or adventurous person.

Shut up.

But nurse, haven't seen you round these parts and wanted to say thanks for the input on my moving out of br thread. It's been awesome and the family couldn't be happier. Glad we did it and thanks for the reassurance, it's been all good.

Hope you and yours are doing well

It's hard to think of much these days. It's only redeeming quality is my family that's here.

Church-there are churches in every city
Job-paid more for same job in other cities
People-nothing special about BR folks
LSU-got me there
Food-not that special
Shopping-BR has zero shopping
BR is nola
Parades-once a year and nothing special.

You sound like you'd be pretty miserable regardless of where you lived.

Why do some people feel the need to shite on BR every chance they get?

I grew up in Chicago, went to college in Illinois and Maine, and eventually landed at LSU for 4 years- 93-97.
Shell shocked sums t up. I could not fathom the crime, corruption, etc. for the first year and wanted to leave.

Then it grew on me, and I fell in love. 20 years later, I miss things in BR (Fleur a lis pizza, the Chimes crawfish pasta appetizer, Louie's heartbuster burgers, breakfast at that place on 100 Oaks and Perkins).
