i need the rough cost to move a 14x80 house trailer from new orleans to just about 6 miles inside mississippi

just trying to figure out a guestimate on what that cost is

vs trying to buy a trailer in mississippi and then just move it only a few miles

i have a really really nice trailer i can get at a great price, but the distance it needs to go is the big issue, vs buying something closer that most likely will be beat up and need a lot of work but cost less to move

I don’t think anyone on this forum even has a single story home, let alone one of the mobile variety

We moved one for a deer camp that was similar in size about 60 miles and it was around 5k. Some people said that was high but we didn't have a lot of options.

I bought some land about 6 years ago that had a pretty decent single on the property. I sold it to a guy moved it to hunting property and I believe he said it was $2500 for delivery and setup. It was about 75 miles away.

BIL parents cant care for themselves any more, so he is looking at trailers and the idea is moving them into his back yard where he can watch over them instead of putting them in a nursing home

pretty sad state of affairs really but it is what it is

From moving my husband's wooden boat from Los Angeles to east Tennessee, we found that the laws vary from state to state. Permit costs, escort vehicles, roads allowed on, time of day you can be in heavy traffic.

Our transporter took care of all of it and there was no way we could have handled an oversize haul ourselves.

I'll allow this.
If I had a large enough lot, I may do the same in the future.

About right if you don't get a HVAC guy out there to recover the freon from the A/C unit.

I used to be involved in the selling of repo mobile homes. Sold one to a used mobile home dealer real cheap. He hooked up to the wrong trailer and hauled off an old ladies trailer with her stuff in it. She was all kinda pissed off
