Crustaceans: shrimp, crabs, lobster, crawfish. Used to eat them by the bucket until my mid 40s. Since then they give me godawful intestinal cramps and the galloping runs.
I have no problem with shellfish or any other food.

Believe it or not, cashews share some traits with poison ivy.

quote:

The anacardiaceae family of trees, sometimes called the cashew family, includes mango, poison ivy, poison oak, sumac, Peruvian pepper, pistachio, and you guessed it, cashews. They all contain urushiol, the sneaky oil that causes the skin to erupt in rashes for some people and is the bane of my existence, but to varying degrees. The oil is found in all parts of the plant, including the leaves, stems, and even the roots.

Stainless steel. Not 100% sure whether it’s nickel or chromium, but I’ve broken out from leather contact as well which makes me think chromium.

Sucks. Can’t wear watches anymore without getting contact dermatitis.

Think is elastic. Aggravated around my ankles and neck from socks and shirt collars. Also seems nearly all pillows. Have a high thread count pillow case and now wear loose fit shirts and no show socks.

I found out I was allergic to food coloring a couple years ago. Could be a specific ingredient in one of the colors, but a few years ago I had a reaction from eating a piece of King Cake that had food coloring icing.
My tongue swole up to where it was difficult to breathe through my mouth. Happened a couple more times since then, and I just made the connection with each incident, that it was food coloring.

From then on I don’t eat anything that was dyed with food coloring and I haven’t had a reaction since.

Latex. Didn’t happen until I was 40.
