How can this city be so fantastic? You drive the interstate and out of the bloom WHAM! a bullet comes through your windshield or sunroof. The roads are irreplacable. The schools are horrible. THe housing and apartments are so expensive. the politicians are crooks

27 posts and starting this thread? Clearly a troll. GTFO.

For the record: I’m very clear on my stance on New Orleans. It needs a lot of work. A lot. I mean, way more than most. But whether or not it’s a special place has never been in question. Frankly, it being such a special place is what has kept it alive.

It's different than pretty much anywhere else in the U.S.. That alone makes it special. It's not really my cup of tea, but I get it.

I believe you have to be well travelled and have experienced a multitude of cultures to pick up on really how different it is. Its unique food, music and traditions. Youre not going to get it if you dont travel much.

Went to NOLA for a wedding a few weekends ago. Had a nice lunch, drinks, got dressed met up with some folks at The Columns. The wedding was at a cool venue on Magazine. Drank more had some oysters and went back to get some shut eye.

I wasn’t shot or shot at 1 time.

Most people would call this boring:

Which makes me happy.
