Yep.
ETA: A movie theater is a 180 second walk.

I moved away from Baton Rouge and the gulf coast region this year. I was super excited when I washed my cars last weekend and didn’t have a single bug embedded into the paint on the front of the cars. I’m not use to washing my cars without having to spend an hour scraping with my fingernails and bug remover. So I’ll keep it simple and say the ability to drive your cars without washing bugs off of them every day.

Plus BR is missing this:
And if any of those decided to open - if there are no TVs or dollar margarita nights - the restaurant won’t last a year

All within a 90 second walk.
I’ve got a parallel portfolio of walkable venues but mine are within about 7-9 minutes.
Within 90 seconds only four restaurants, a good bar and a dive bar

Drove over BR bridge into BR in day time for 1st time in long time. Bridge railings missing as far east as bridges go and color as if Mt Vesuvius coughed up ash for decades, concrete walls look like care went to slow extinction.
All to say, for a state capitol, it’s looks scream that time has passed it by and its leaders lead like the city looks.

I walk very fast. Everything I listed besides the movie theater is within two blocks.

An alley that's not cancerous.

Clean air
Sort of true.
Atlanta has more care pollution and pollen. It was hard for me to breath in Atlanta.
Any city larger than BR will have more car pollution. And with wildfires out west, we actually average more clean days than San Francisco even though we have more concentrated heavy industry.

Desirability
First thing that popped into my mind. It doesn’t really have anything for anyone who wasn’t born and raised there to want to be there.
