Ask your insurance company.

Kids?
How tall are they?
I would slope from 6" to 6'

If you want an area to jump off some rocks into, 9" could be good (at least that was the depth of someone's pool I was at last weekend)

Mine is 9'.
9' is the wrong answer.

12 year old and 15 year old. 5 feet and 5'9

Ours was ten feet at the deepest point with a diving board

Mine is a "V" shape with steps entering to about 3.5 feet and deepest at center at 5'10" to 4.5 at the other end...so you can stand on the bottom in most of the pool except for a six foot wide area that is 5'10.

This is the OT so most have a diving well that's at least 25'

We have 6', no diving board.

If I had to do all over again, I would have a 20 x 40 foot pool 4.5-5 feet deep all the way across. More of an activity pool for volleyball/basketball but still good enough to swim laps and a hell of a lot easier to clean year round. Still deep enough for a slide but NO frickING DIVING BOARD!

Our pool ranges from 3 ft to 9 ft

Sports pools are becoming popular. Basically about 5.5 max to about 4. It is so you can play volleyball, basketball, and other pool games.
I wouldn't do it. Seems like a fad thing.

What's wrong with diving boards?

Too many close calls with guests diving into my 9 foot deep end. Plus it just encourages overall idiot behavior. I took it out completely just for the safety and liability. Kids have more fun on the slide to be honest.
