I meant F-250 and Tundra.

I think Tundra's are excellent, but right now, given how good the new F-150 design is, are not $4K better.

The seats in the Lariat are about the best I've sat in, IMO.

Not at all.

It is a lot of miles for a 2014.

For a 20 year truck, I agree.

Tough call, they arte both excellent.

I feel like Ford's electronics and rear-seat room the best right now.

I'm reading that they won't offer the V8 beginning next year of F150's.

I'm test driving now. Will probably drive a Silverado and Ram, just so I can compare them all. I'm a Ford lean at this point, A) because of price, and B) because it seems like you get quite a few more features for the money.

Not sure I can get past knowing that if I buy the Tundra I can easily get 20 years without much more than basic maintenance. Not sure I trust Ford/Chevy/Dodge in that regard.

No, I understand.

Ford may have niggling issues (previous gen rear cab light leak)that the Toyota may not have, although I think the quality gap is way, way closer than years past.

If you were looking for the big gas motor, I would say GM.

I don't know much about RAM other than resale is not close to the other 3.

I think you'll really like the room of the Ford's cab, especially if it will be your family trip vehicle.

Tundra isn't a bad choice, great power. Aesthetics aren't great and mpg isn't good

Chad, the 2017 F-250 is gonna have 6" more rear cab room. It'll have a flat rear floor like the F-150's.

I like to be an antagonist on here with this, but I agree with you.

I do like the 5.3 in the Chevy, the one I just totaled had the 5.3 and I think that might be the most bullet proof engine in a non Diesel. Chevy is a bit cheaper than Ford from my limited research, so I will go drive one, but it would take a lot to sway me from Toyota and Ford as my 1/1A options.

As far as maintenance, Ford has been building that 5.0 for like 50 years, so it oughta be bulletproof.

I like arguing, but I'm not brand-loyal.
Whoever has the best vehicle gets my $$$.

I have no problem with someone having good service from a marque and continuing to buy it, but sometimes you miss other offerings.

Just ride around the residential neighborhoods in laffy and you're bound to find one cheap.

See. I didn't know that. I thought this was a fairly new engine. They used to offer a 5.4, and I thought the 5.0 was a replacement for the 5.4. "The more you know...."

What? The 302/5.0 has been around forever and is arguably the greatest small block v8 ever

Nope.

They basically are using the F-150 cab design.

He man, he says he didn't know.

Not everybody lives and breathes cars and racing.

( we pity them, of course)

That motor sucked.

It got better later, but it still was a pile compared to the 5.7.

Overall probably so, but I had an 04 and I loved it. I had intake and exhaust on it and it was a beast. Never had any issues, and I ran it like a dog
