When I bought my last F150, it was a 4.6 and a 5.4 they offered. AT that time, they weren't putting the 5.0 in the F150 as I remember it.

Yeah they replaced the 5.0 with the 4.6modular motor
But that said although the 5.0 was discontinued, it's been kicking arse and taking names at the dragstrip for the past 20 years. The block is bulletproof and makes power at a decent price. Not as cheap as a Chevy block but not bad

I had an 06 and hated it. Valve guides started going south at 40K, crappy MPG and noisy.
I had a 4.6 in a 1998 and thought it was excellent.
