Probably. At this point, I think a lot of people are rioting for the sake of rioting.

It wouldn't matter one bit. If people refuse to acknowledge the evidence right in their faces, all hope for civility is lost.

Yeah, they're pretty much doing it at this point because they know they can do it with damn near impunity from the local government officials. Not to mention they get cover from the media that declares them peaceful demonstrators despite the fact that they're destroying random property.

I live in Holly Springs, MS. Not far outside of Memphis. This town is 8,000 people and 80%+ black. There was a big arse BLM March on Friday that had been planned for over a week but there was not any rioting, looting, violence, anything. They had their march and then went home.
I am personally proud of the town, but you could say that these folks know what would happen as soon as they exited the city and that it is Stockholm syndrome or something. Whatever it is, I’m happy.
And yes, there were pissed off rednecks in every direction outside of downtown hoping a motherfricker would
ETA: every single cop here is black. That shite does wonders

One of the cops in Minneapolis was black and another was Asian. Didn’t make a damn bit of difference

We even had our “county NAACP leader” (had no idea this was a thing until last week) put out an inflammatory video saying “it’s gonna be peaceful, but there’s gonna be some civil unrest”, and more alarmingly he asked for all the local gangs to come together and put aside their differences and act as the black police (basically protectors of the black marchers).
And yet shite still did not go down, and people were trying hard to stir it up. But yeah, not even a blip on the Memphis news as far as I know.
