They are sent in for evaluation and most likely Short/long term treatment. Sometimes they are let go after evaluation until they get to the point they can follow through with their suicide.

They jump, then stop on mid-air because they have a rope around their waist, then they dangle over the freeway and flip the bird to their cheating ex.
