That's the definition of but-her-face.

Shorty after midnight I posted I was headed to brown town and had my tinfoil hat on. I Posted a few Onstar facts and how it operates even without a subscription or a fuse, the module has to be removed. I then posted I thought it was a double inside job and she was running social media interference to draw eyes away from them, the dog was safe and sound, they never called Onstar, the vehicle was already at a chop shop, the CBD was going to be sold off the books, all the while they collected a nice insurance check for the vehicle and possibly the CBD too. Still hoped the dog was safe regardless

There were 3 or 4 posts after mine and it was still up around 1am

When she said she gave the vin # to Onstar and nothing came up that’s when I called bullshite. Also there was another poster in the thread that registered yesterday that came to her defense shortly after my post. I said he was in on it too

Yeah, I called him out as an alter from the start. Knew too much about the incident and the OT. Stopped answering me.

2003 escalades have an old analog OnStar system. OnStar doesn't have the abilities to connect to it anymore.

Weird...so he was a lurker or an alter of an existing poster? That means they already knew about the OT.

I missed the fact that it was a 03 but I still stand by my theory

I agree with your theory.

Also, she had made a comment that the window had been “COMPLETELY” removed. I asked how she would have known that if they didn’t have the car. That post was at 3:30 AM. Thread was gone by 6:45 AM.

If your theory is basic insurance fraud. I’m curious, why involve a beloved dog? Why not just park the truck, with the bike in the back, and the extra goodies to be taken without the dog? Why bring attention to the situation? They could easily have arranged for Smoke to be somewhere else for the “planned heist”. Crime is rampant in Jackson; no special interest would be warranted if not for the loss of Smoke.

Well, grateful for all the attention. Yes, I’m new. Don’t worry, you’ll get used to me.

I noticed that too. But she could be inferring this from the amount of shattered glass on the pavement.

Because I wasn’t as thought as you drunk I was. Who’s to say the dog was ever actually in the vehicle? They’re playing the dog angle and don’t care about anything else for sympathy and to make it seem they had no hand in this and just want their dog back. Regardless, I just hope the dog is safe no matter what’s going on

Yep I saw that all go down in real time, and something about the whole situation seemed off to me (it should be noted I'm in federal law enforcement and my gut is usually pretty good about these things)

The poster OldSoul seemed to know WAY too much about the incident and had numerous links detailing it, while also only signing up earlier in the day. Most new posters don't know how to post pics or links, and that dude had it nailed right away along with knowing alot about tOT.

Also, as a previous poster said, OnStar works for tracking a stolen vehicle indefinitely until the module is disconnected from it's power source. Even then, OnStar can still track its last known location when going offline. As a Marshal, I've seen this info used numerous times by local officers and used it myself.

Also, the insistence that the couple "didn't care about the vehicle at all, they just wanted their dog back." This was repeated numerous times, and it turns out the vehicle contained $20k+ worth of product and the Escalade itself is worth that much or more.

I understand the concept of "things are replaceable but pets and family aren't", but if I just lost $40k+ I'd be damn worried about the vehicle too. Chances are insurance won't cover the product, and it'll be extremely tough to prove and itemize what was in there.

Plus, how did any thieves know there would be an Escalade full of $20k in product parked out of view, and the bar's cameras weren't operating?

It was 100% an inside job to some extent

Probably removed because one of you goofballs posted the OP's Facebook pictures.

Granted she should have known better than to use her real name as her user name.

Will OnStar work on an eighteen-year-old vehicle?
