Probably so, but it's the most convenient way of staying in contact with some people. If cousin Mary Sue had a kid, you're going to learn about it on FB long before someone gets around to calling the extended family.
why do you care about your cousin having a kid if you two clearly aren’t close enough for them or yalls family to tell you and you have to learn it on Facebook. They clearly don’t like you

the people that tell you that they don't have FB every chance they get are in the same category as all of these FB stereotypes

Nah, they're worse.

I hear what you’re saying, but there are better alternatives than Facebook.

I don't know

My 75 year old Aunt that posts "prayer for Trump" memes 15x a day is pretty annoying

We prefer to be recognized in a category completely separate from Facebook.

We call it the we don’t have Facebook category.

Sorry. That isn't how this works.

Y'all come running into every thread about FB to tell everyone how you don't have FB.

Y'all are more connected to FB than me, and I've had a FB account for like 16 years now.

I didn’t mean to trigger you so badly. Please mark safe so your friends will know I apologized.

You’re the I must post this immediately to Facebook stereotype, aren’t you?

You know you can unfollow people right and they'll stop showing up in your feed? Temporarily or permanently.

That person, family or not, gets unfollowed in a hurry.

What is the reason for having facebook anymore? Serious question.

Dont tell me you have one just to keep up with your 3rd cousin who lives in Alabama.

I do. And I've done that for most.

But for some reason I can't find it in my heart to block my old Aunt

I have blocked my MIL though

Unfollowing people makes it a little more palatable to be on Facebook.

People like Salmon enjoy the instant gratification. They’re addicted to the endorphin boost they get when someone likes their collection of thirty pictures from little Braxton’s travel ball game.

Way more fun on here with randos and their jokes instead of Facebook "friends" that don't give a shite about you in real life and just compare their lives to your own 24/7.
