What ever happened to Wavin' Willy?

Does anyone know the story behind what happened to Wavin' Willy? For those that don't know, back when I was at LSU he was a random black guy who would spend hours waving at random cars behind Tigerland on Alvin Dark. Wondering if anyone has seen him recently...

I used to wave my willy all the time. Now I'm not allowed within 1000 ft of a school or daycare.

During my undergrad days I kindly requested that some gentlemen pledging my fraternity get a picture with Wavin' Willy. He ran away every time they tried to walk up to him.

RIP. I remember seeing him while driving on Sharlo a couple times a week.

There was a video on youtube I saw a while back where two guys talked to him and filmed him without him knowing it. It was fascinating. He was asking them if they knew how to set up a universal remote on a Zenith tv. Im gonna try to find it. BRB. RIP willy.
