guess it's obvious that son isn't going to let her death be known for several years.

Read a story about a woman who outlived 3 reverse mortgages. I thought that story was pretty cool.
There was a woman in Paris who reversed mortgaged her townhouse to a young attorney in the 1960s then went on to live to live to 110 or so. Outlived him and his children. I think it was his great grandchildren who eventually got the apartment.

Marine is fricking your wife. You surprised the hell out of him when you answered the door and he had to come up with a quick, yet very vague story.

Oh, pics of wife

Today, a man rings my doorbell around noon. He’s a well put together man of around 55. An ex Marine if I had to guess. He says he’s with some kind of investigation outfit and that the bank has sent him out to get info on who lives there.
Was his name Lou Cypher? I don't think this ends well for you.

Its called an occupancy inspection. Banks order them when the note is late and will send someone out to try to make contact with them bc theyre usually avoiding the calls.
How is the note late on a reverse mortgage?

Why doesn't someone demand a welfare check on the mom?

Try Leipers Fork next time you want to move to the country.

If it is heroin it’s only a matter of time before Jr. gets a bad batch and takes himself out of the picture.

I hate posts like these because we never get to hear how it turns out.
It’s like watching Law and Order and missing the last 10 minutes.

1. Williamson County sucks now becsuse of carpetbaggers.
2. Only music stars can afford Leiper’s Fork.
3. Too many faux bikers and yankee tourists from the trace ruin LF.
I lived near the Del Rio Pike/Old Harding Rd intersecrion for a few years when I first moved to Nashville. No more...it’s all fake country now. Just a bunch of yankees playing farm and developers trying to buy up all the land. Demographics says the developers will win.

you never know how it turns out because the story is never over. Property gets inherited, passed along, transferred within the family.
We are out in the country (east Tennessee) with mostly good neighbors. Some are great and as fine as you could ask for. Then, there's another property. They do get watched by the police and sometimes get arrested and jailed. Funny thing, in a sad way, the neighbors about two miles away are the only ones ever arrested, convicted and charged with big drug dealings, and they are from near Mobile.
Cities don't have 'better' people, but cities are an easier place to be anonymous.

If the heroin addict likes to drink you can put some visine in a vodka bottle and leave it out for him.
He will have severe diarrhea for days. Like constant crapping.

No Idea.
But sounds like an allegedly common reverse mortgage situation. Reverse mortgage is made out in the name of the husband ONLY. Reverse mortgage broker lies and says the wife can be "added later." Husband dies first, normally. Old lady is put out on her arse.
Reverse mortgage people are scum.

We moved out here from nearly downtown Nashville and have seen more jackassery out of that house than we did in town.
You don't move "out here" in Tennessee. There are some very strange folks out there doing some very strange things. There are people in the woods of Tennessee that have been off the grid for decades.
