78 with ceiling fans is perfectly fine. Low power bill also.
It is the summer in the south...you aren't supposed to be cold.

But 78 with ceiling fans is my go to AC temp. 82 day time.
There is no way I would be able to sleep. I sleep with the AC on 70 at the highest, ceiling fan, and a high powered fan next to the bed. Day time 76 if not home and 72-74 if we are.

68 f is definitely default at nite.
in the mornings when wake up bump it up to 70 or 71 so everyone will roll out of bed.
I think its probably a degree or two too cold but...

72 at all times and I sleep with my fan on high.
During the winter I turn the unit totally off and sleep with the window open.

Roommate used to put air on 65. During winter would put it on 62 and claimed it wasn't hurting electric bill because it was colder outside

I used to know some folks in Phoenix who kept their AC on 82. I wondered how they did that til I realized the outside air temp was 115 in the summer.
These guys would come east and go into office meeting rooms with a 72 degree temp and freeze their asses off.
