Before you two were engaged, where was she spending the night? Does she have her own place or was she living with her ex and kids? Did she move her belongings into your place?
The ex husband should be wanting to move on, too. He must know she’s not capable of taking care of the kids if she has custody but lets them live in his house.
Just be honest with her and tell her you made a bad decision because of your divorce and you want some time to work on yourself. Or tell her you have AIDS.
