What do you do when your kid needs homework help and you don't have a clue?

He asked for help with algebra homework

I'm not a genius but not a total dummy either. My highest hs math was trig and I made straight A's. But that was 17 years ago. Fml

And the question is only 4m-4=4m

What am I gonna do? How do you handle it? Do you try to learn what they're learning? Tell them you don't know and to figure it out?

Glass, don't be a douche

It's the second day of school. They always do a review after summer. He's in geometry. Same as louisiana students

The answer is m4m. Contact the school board and tell them your kid's teacher is a sexual predator.

I would. If you already have taken it, seems like you would pick it back up fairly easy.

I was never big on math...but always thought algebra was the easiest of math classes.

Yes the answer doesn't exist... What is on the left side will never equal what is on the right side

ETA: No matter what number you put for m, the right side will always be 4 less than the left

I figured whenever this day comes in my life that I would be able to do it based on how the books tells me to do it or review his/her notes to refresh my memory.

As if that is possible. Just going by your OP subject line.

Non-parent. Dismissed

Jk. Yeah I thought trig was easiest and geometry was hardest. Could've just been that I gave more of a frick as a senior

His buddies havent discovered your post history and all of your pictures yet and posted them all over the school and his locker?

I'd think you'd dread that the most.
