I agree with that. Especially these days when there's actually tons of clothing that looks put together "enough" and is basically athleisure.
I'm always the overdressed one. My friend saw me at Live After Five last weekend and was floored to see me in sneakers. They last me 10+ years because I wear heels 90% of the time.

Holidays in general
I grew up with a dad who worked shift work, so someone not being able to make most holidays is something I've known all my life and saw as completely normal.
When we became adults, my parents NEVER pressured us about holidays. We've been apart for tons of them, and hell I don't even think we've done Christmas on actual Christmas week in years.
Ended up with someone who works most Christmases and most Thanksgivings, and now I get to do whatever I feel like. My best friend doesn't have the best relationship with her family out of town, so one year we spent the entire 24th and 25th cooking and drinking wine just us two. It was awesome. I've even cooked a whole Thanksgiving spread at home entirely alone one year.
Love our families, but I cannot emphasize enough how amazing Christmas is at home with just your spouse, or best friend, or alone.

Lunch because that is dinner. Heathens are running amok.
Pasta, but noodles or spaghetti are a fine substitute. Hate the word pasta
