For sure. There's a certain amount of asskissing you have to do to succeed in the world, but he keeps to himself.

I think it's a lot of peoples number. They think 250k a year and it seems like some number that can get them what they want out of life financially.

Depends on a lot. If you make that much and don't want kids or anything, you're living a much easier lifestyle than someone with 2-3 kids.

As someone else also mentioned, what type of area you live in makes a difference.

He's just mean on TD in general. Before I met him, I thought he was the biggest a-hole ever. Sometimes still do when I see him being mean to others.

I'd say that range is "ok" just because it depends on the area. San Fran (250k) vs Montana (100k). I think around 150k is a good average number for upper middle class for a family.

Honestly though, what's the difference between upper middle and upper class ($500k'ish)? They probably drive similar vehicles, all have iphones, large houses, ability to travel. Maybe the "uppers" have the 7 series vs the 5, 4000 sq ft vs 3000 sq ft. Rolex vs Tag. Stay in 3 star hotels instead of 4/5 star.

Read the book the millionaire next door or the millionaire mind you will be surprised to find that most millionaires in this country don't live like that.

When he mentions upper class that isn't some plant worker making 90k that has saved all his life and is now a millionaire

That's because simply being a millionaire doesn't make you upper class. Big difference between someone who has 10 million, which there are far more of, and 100 million.

I'd say a larger portion of the upper middle class are millionaires.

Class would have more relevance if ya'll mentioned what type of work you did/job duties or what your dad did NOT how much you make!!!

What your dad did?

If your "class" is based on things out of your control or things that cannot be changed, than it's beyond irrelevant and a waste of time considering.
