1. leaving the toilet seat up or down...about 50/50 lol.
2. Inlaw related items (visiting and for how long, drama, holidays, etc.)
3. Who to go on vacation with or without, sometimes we aren't on the same page there.

We get along great for the most part, but lately we seem to disagree on parenting

I’ll fuss at JR (he’s 4) or tell him no for something, and she’ll go right behind me and give him what he wants, or let him out of timeout, etc...

Not sure if I’m too hard on him, or she’s too soft on him because he’s our first... I’m sure the proper way to handle it is somewheres in the middle

I don’t wanna raise a turd. She doesn’t wanna be too hard on him. Most of the time it’ll be them two versus me

Also, this guy frickin nailed it:

quote:

Her: I need your advice
Me: Here's what you should do
Her: I'm not going to do that
Me:....

days pass

Her: OMG THIS THING OMG
Me: Did you do that thing I said to do
Her: No.
Me: You should do that thing
Her: You're not helping

days pass

Her: So I was talking to a girl at work and she said I should do that thing
Me: I said that a week ago
Her: I know, I think I'm going to do it now

Good job petti

Kitchen utensils, according to her, should be placed upwards facing. My point of not wanting to get stuck by a knife blade or fork tine fell on deaf ears.

Apparently she thinks that domestic violence is NOT always the answer

FWIW - you engineer frickers aren’t always right.. also, stop thinking so much about everything. Y’all MFers make the easiest jobs so MF’n difficult (sorry, worked on a wharf last week with my uncles who are both frickin engineers and it was a painful, meticulous process that took 8 hours when it should have only taken two at the most)

**dont take this personal, I’m halfway joking

Did you marry my ex?

I hate the "why did you say it in that tone?" WTF? Maybe it's just the way that I speak?

The #1 thing we fight about is that he is extremely literal, and I am flexible. If I say an event lasts til 7:15 and it actually ends at 7:19, I'm a liar.

I've stopped telling him times.

Nope. Everything down unless it's completely full. In that case, spoons can go up. It's solely to protect hands. You can stab yourself with a fork, but not a spoon.

I’m a time person as well. I’m very punctual. Believe it is a huge disrespect to another to be late.

Never fails.....I say we need to leave at 7. I’m sitting waiting to go at 6:30. He’ll watch tv and wait until the last minute to get ready. So we leave more like 7:15.
