If I was desperate for money I'd just eat canned tuna.

We are all gonna find out when GenX hits retirement age and 60-75%can't afford to retire. All of this lavish spending we are seeing for social media cred right now instead of saving for the future is going to bite a lot of people HARD.

They continue working while collecting social security in hopes they can put food on the table and pay the bills until they die.

My brother retired and is struggling with the cost of his meds. It’s insane the price big pharm is charging for stuff.

still rolling along, lots of water under the but hanging in there, retired/not retired, how are you and the clan?

It’s funny you ask this because I met with my financial advisor this week and after he stopped laughing hysterically he advised me to get a penile implant and move to a retirement community and start servicing elderly broads. I think I should be able to parley that into a place on a couch and maybe a bowl of soup now and again. I felt like it was pretty solid advice. Fee was reasonable.

Who are they going to call to come over and trouble shoot their TV when they accidentally press the input button on the remote

As mentioned in another post, Central America (Belize, CR, et al) is popular, as is Asia- Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Philippines, Malaysia .. pretty much any Asian country except Singapore & Japan (which are both NYC/Paris-level expensive)- you’ll be able to stretch ur US dollars 5-10 times further than in America … or, i guess you could live like a pauper in a mobile home in Arkansas or something , barely scrapping by and eating dog food.. to me, it’s a no-brainer .
