What do I do? ATT Wireless question

So quick story. I traded in my phone December 7, 2014. I got a new iPhone. Well the sales person lost my traded in phone and it was a big deal to get them to admit they lost it since they were going to charge me for the lost phone. Finally got it resolved and they admitted losing it after reviewing tapes showing I physically turned it in. .
Well I dropped my iPhone today so I went file a claim on my insurance I get through att. Well GUESS what....a claim was filed december 2014. Turns out a claim was filed around the 20th of December 2014.
One of the people at ATT filed claim on my account without my knowledge so I am not eligible to file another claim.
WTF do I do? Who do the hell do I contact to get this resolved?
The support folks just said they could call the insurance company to get this resolved but I have my doubts it would help.
I think I'm fricked since ATT is such a big company with no accountability.

Make them show you where you signed to file the claim? Threaten legal action if they can't produce a signed doc?

Call Asurion, not ATT. Let them know there was an unauthorized claim on your account. They will have the claim removed and your insurance reinstated.

They ask a lot of questions and often times send in an affidavit to do a claim. Just call them and find out what really happened.

Beth, see if you can find a fellow-bedazzler at a AT&T location. They might be more sympathetic to your issue.

If they filed a claim, you would have been billed a deductible. You would have noticed the extra charge. It's like 200 extra on your bill.

There's some spots C-Spire cover that Verizon doesn't (think suburbs of Okalona, MS) but I moved from AT&T 20 months ago and have not had any coverage issues. I can say that as far as my experience with coverage Verizon > AT&T.

Buy a phone off Ebay and then go to Cricket! Just like straight talk but they run on ATT's network.

I switched from VZ to C-spire and my wife currently has ATT. I can tell you without a doubt that ATT has the best coverage.

Was with Verizon forever ... With centennial before that and Verizon bought them out. Never ever have issues ... Husband can go offshore quite a ways in remote fishing areas and no issues.

Just fix your phone. No way dropping an iPhone broke it completely, just replace the parts that need it.
