30. Utterly useless test. My education was almost as useless.

My daughter just scored a 36. She will be a Senior this year. She made 2 34's and 3 35's before finally making a 36 last month. I made a 24.

Shes probably unattractive.

Why would you take the ACT 6 times?!

This was actually a pretty good score back then....scores overall are a lot higher now.

This is a classic OT thread. Anyone over 27 or so will proudly throw their score out there. Anyone between 23-27 will only reply with the caveat that they were “hung over”. Most people will not post their score. Hence the OT selection bias that perpetuates that everyone on the OT runs a 4.4 40, benches 300 #s plus, and scores a 30+ on the ACT.

But what are your thoughts on people who scored a 27?

Agreed. I did well enough on it to get some scholarship money and place out of a bunch of freshman classes, which was the worst thing for me. I was an immature 18 year old, having to actually study for the first time in my life, thrown into upper level classes.

Standardized tests measure how good you are at taking standardized tests. There's a correlation with college success, but it's an imperfect one. They don't measure maturity level, work ethic, and a lot of other things as or more important than raw intelligence

Y’all are all so full of shite

Lol some lying mofos on this board. A 28 puts you ahead of 90% of all test takers and that’s what this board seems to be floating around as it’s ‘average’.

In the mid 90’s 25 was a good score. Nowadays 25 is low because they focus on what is exactly on the test and basically practice taking the test over and over again
