I think something about seeing a body float past his hotel in the French Quarter, which didn't get much flooding.

Said he looked out the window of his FQ hotel and saw a body floating facedown. The FQ did not flood.

Seems they are also questioning him on the "gangs" confronted him at his 5 star hotel and getting sick from accidentally drinking flood water…and reporting body floating in the FQ. Damn.
Holy shite, this man is going down it seems…and he should.
eta: Thanks Dude and Dorothy for the link to the story

Here's another article discussing his claims and whether they could be true or not. LINK

He said New Orleans was a great city.

There doesn't seem to be any real news reported in this day of instant information transmission via the interwebs. It has all become infotainment and the more grandiose and outrageous you can embelish a story the more views you generate. I can hear Walter Cronkite and Edward R. Murrow rolling over in their graves.

A dead body in the French Quarter isn't far fetched and it could have been floating in urine.

Said he saw Chris Kyle on the Superdome roof.

besides the mans body floating down the street in french quarter....
He also said people that he was hunkered down with at the hotel riding out the storm eventually died in the superdome....
ps - his explanation/apology of the helicopter story in iraq was comical, said he confused his helicopter with the one in front of him and that his wasnt actually shot down. Also said his pilot got shot in the ear while flying and the pilot said its total bullshite, ears are fine and there was no shots fired at them.
they also showed a clip of hillary clinton talking about being greeted with sniper fire when she went to iraq or whatever (she told same story at multiple appearances). Then they showed her actual greeting when she arrived and there was a bunch of school children hugging her..

I saw a clip last night where he said he injested some of the flood water and got dysentery and had to be hospitalized. The head of the department of health said there were no reported cases of dysentery during Katrina. Lying POS

Brobson Lutz is irresistibly attracted to TV cameras and tape recorders. He's the Queen of New Orleans Attention Whores.

He's done... as we speak people are picking through his stories over the last 20 years and imo will reveal a disgusting string of bullshite lies spanning his entire career. Pretending to have combat wounds or illness/hardship from katrina is disrespectful to those that did. Clown is done.

I agree. When I saw that Katrina b.s. I figured they basically have to jettison this dude. Even though he reads the news off a teleprompter, all people will think of is what a lying douche he is.

What a douche bag. Here's his apology:
"I would not have chosen to make this mistake," Williams told the newspaper. "I don't know what screwed up in my mind that caused me to conflate one aircraft with another."
He said its was a "botched attempt to thank a veteran".
But Stars And Stripes adds: "The NBC anchor was nowhere near that aircraft or two other Chinooks flying in the formation that took fire. Williams arrived in the area about an hour later on another helicopter after the other three had made an emergency landing, the crew members said."

I'll never understand why people will lie about easily verifiable facts. It also amazes me that someone as high profile as Williams could get away with this for so long.

I gotta be honest, I liked him up to this point.
After Dale got killed, he did about the best story, from a network standpoint, that I saw.

I like the guy to but it was because I thought he as more credible than the rest of the MSM. You don't confuse getting shot down or hit by an RPG.
