I wish they still had those big car phones that beeped when you cranked the ignition. If your vehicle sported a car phone antenna, it showed the world you were a baller. Not like today when every 10 year old has a smartphone.

A lot of people thought that. I thought a giant iPhone the size of a small tablet and requiring two hands was really dumb, but clearly many people disagree with me. I still have the iPhone 5. It fits snugly into my hand. I don't foresee myself getting a bigger one.
The iPad, on the other hand, is the most wonderful device I have ever used. I use it more than any other device - to read reports and e-mails, watch videos, surf the web, play games, etc. It is the best tool I have ever had the pleasure of using.

It takes a lot to impress me now, but I remember in my youth, before the internet, wishing for a magic TV that held all the movies I wanted to watch anytime I wanted. And now I'm just indifferent to the over-saturation of content available these days.
Still amazed by 3D printers, especially the recent Continuous Liquid Interface Production (CLIP) tech. It's sorcery.
I was in the camp that tablets are a fad. I was kind of right, because there's been a recent reinvigoration of notebook design and tablet sales are declining. Even tablets themselves are converging with laptops for 2-in-1s. They will have a place in the market, but not as a replacement for real computing.
