It doesn't strike you as odd how easily the blue dress was found and posted and despite all of America knowing about this, no one is on the Today Show posing in the white dress?

This is a good point. We have seen the real black and blue dress plenty, but no one has posted a "real" white and gold one.

People will believe what they want and agree with articles and posts which back their belief
In fairness, I haven't seen articles with experts in this "field" stating it is in fact white, nor have I seen an actual picture of the white version of the dress.

They may be out there, but no one is posting them like the blue dress is being posted to "back up the belief", as you say.

You can post a million pictures of the "real" dress

it doesn't fricking matter

the lighting in that picture clearly shows white/light blue and gold

its not hard to understand

The lighting in that picture plays a trick on your brain to make you see white and gold. It does not show white and gold. Some people's brains don't process it the way your's does and they see blue and black.

It appears to me that people that see white and gold have one thing in common..... they get very defensive about colors

I think we should turn this into a religious debate. For those that see white and gold and it is now a proven fact that it is black and blue...does that make it question your beliefs since you clearly can't tell fact from fiction?

Well, the dress is ugly as sin regardless of color, so I'm just hoping no one owns it to post it

Explain further, please. Because I can't grasp how a dark color can trick you into thinking it is the lightest of all colors.
How is the lighting set up to do this?

Yes there is, it's just filtered. The actual color is black even though it doesn't "appear" so. You're usually smarter than this.

Again the people claiming its their dress saod they took the picture after seeing it at a wedding to sejd to her daughter. But the picture is clearly a store display and not the one they posted of a woman wearing it. Why post a store pic if at a wedding of the dress?

They took a picture of the dress they were buying for the wedding and sent it to their daughter, where then people couldn't agree on what color it was. That's pretty easy to understand.

It appears to be black shown through a filter.

I thought wired was a legit site. They say blue. I don't want to believe it's blue either. I saw the blue for about a minute last night. I swear I thought the picture had been edited. Then it was back to white. And all the people saying they can get it to switch? Just weird.
