Laughed at the weather in a Barbour.

I have wallet and 2 belts from them. Probably the last casual belts I'll ever need to buy. They still look great after about 10 years. You could tow a boat with those things

Hell yes. I’ve had mine for about 8 or 9 years. It is the go to jacket for 45-60 degree weather, and then a vest under it for below 45. I don’t wear it in nasty arse weather though.

I bought a big bulky Filson jacket during their summer sale a couple years ago for the nasty stuff and wearing out on the farm. It’s a great jacket as well.

One Filson thing that I have that’s bad arse, is the waxed tin cloth briefacase. I’ve had it for probably 10 years. It gets abused, and has no signs of threads starting to break, tears, or wearing out on the bottom. Would highly recommend one.

. I have a pair of real cordovan imperials that I wear several times a month that are probably 25 years old.

There are a lot of brands that have mentioned in the thread that I know are worth the hype. The one I would add is Community Dark Roast Coffee made the way they say to make it on the bag.

To whoever said Bosch, don’t drive a diesel baw. Their CP4 high pressure fuel pump went in every diesel motor including VW’s and has been a train wreck with the “new clean” diesel. So much so that they made a safety for it…when it grenades itself u don’t have to replace lines, injectors, rails, etc.

Almost everything private label at Walmart is made by a name brand to the same quality as their product in exchange for favorable product placement of the branded product. I have witnessed the negotiations, and it really isn't a negotiation, you give what walmart wants or they tell you to GTFO.

i agree with most of that.

I do know that the Husqarvna weedeater and blowers you can get at walmart are just shitty Poulan's in a Husky box. If you want the real Husky equipment you need to get it from a dealer.

Sometimes the big box stores don't have the same high quality and reliable tool as the name brand, they just want the name brand.
For instance, Tractor Supply has Ingersoll Rand compressors, yet they are a pile of shite and aren't the same as the IR compressor you would get directly from IR.

The big name brand companies will make cheap shite for big box stores, just to sell them cheaply. John Deere riding lawn mower at Home Depot would be an example of big name brand with a shitty cheap product for the big box store.

but like you said, walmart tells you what they want and you either agree or they say gtfo we'll find someone else.

I guess it's sort of like outlet stores. A lot of those companies make a cheaper product and sell them only at outlets so it seems to people like they are getting a good deal.
