Sugar bowl courts on Airline Hwy in Metairie. Didn't get to watch free porn because someone shot out the tv tube with a pistol. Worst $19.99 i ever spent

To me, that tells you a lot about a company and that manager. Mistakes are going to happen. I don’t care how diligent you are. How a company responds to the mistake tells you a lot about them.

Checking into the Hyatt in Houston the valet guy harassing us to pay him in cash to park the car for a discount. I'm sure he was stealing from the hotel but whatever. Front desk gives us the key, head up to the room, open the door and there's a couple in bed with the lights off. They ended up giving us a free tab at the hotel restaurant/bar and a "upgraded" room. Next day they had trouble finding the car because the original guy scamming the hotel wasn't around.

Checked in and the power went off 3 seconds after paying...wouldn't give me a refund

Intercontinental in New Orleans. Valet left our keys in another car. By the time they found them, said car was in Florida.

Stayed in a shithole motel in a small Alabama town for an LSU- Bama game. Staying with my buddy and his dad and am a broke college kid
Morning of the game we go into the the “lobby” which was a very small room with way too many chairs where you can get your free breakfast in the morning, I go to get a waffle and while trying to squeeze between two chairs and I knock over this cheap stone statue sitting right next to the chairs and the thing falls. Nothing breaks I pick the statue back up and kind of chuckle at the awkwardness and look at the hostess and she looks mortified. I assure her it’s not a big deal but we have to go and we will deal with it later when we get back
Fast forward 12 hours and we get back and we are locked out of our hotel room, so I went to the front desk where the owner is at. He said that I broke a statue and I have to pay 300 dollars or we won’t get into the room. At the point in exhausted, pissed off at LSU getting stomped, and piss drunk so I am not having this. We argue back and forth for an hour or so when I finally relent and tell him I will pay so that my friends couple sleep, but I tell him I am not going to sleep now and if I am paying 300 dollars for this shitty statue then I will stay up all night in his lobby and calmly tell him how fricking stupid he is and how ridiculous the situation is and that if I’m paying then I should take the statue home that I am paying for. He didn’t like that at all and started yelling back at me
After about a half hour of that, he threatens to call the cops on me and my friends drag me out of there before he does. Never been more pissed in my life.
Luckily for unknown reasons in the middle of the night the guy calls the room and says that he won’t charge me for the statue
bad weekend but a fun story to retell at the bar

Went to brush my teeth and chick passed out before “hotel sex”. To make matters worse, she was too hungover for morning sex before I had to leave at 7:00 the next morning. Terrible experience.

Had a cricket in our room that chirped all night. Looked everywhere for that thing. Needless to say, didn't sleep.
Twice lately had pot smokers next door to us. Flooded our room with the smell

Never really had a bad experience tbh. Not even at a cheap hotel.
You sound poor

Rickey’s RV Park and Motel. Google it and you won’t need any back story!

I worked the front desk at one on Bourbon Street. There are too many bad experiences to list.

Sea and Breeze at Tybee Island in 2016.
Pull in and they didn’t have our reservation. I showed them our confirmation from travelocity on my phone. They said tough shite, if they don’t have it on their end, no room. Go frick your self. Serious ghetto attitude.
Sit in parking lot for about an hour on phone with dotheads at travelocity support saying they faxed their shite ten times. Finally the hotel says ok we got the fax.
Then they tell us parking deck is closed, repainting, go find street parking, go frick youself.
Then we realize the elevator is out of order indefinitely.
When we get to the room, it isn’t too bad except there is almost a 1inch gap between the bottom of the door and the ground.
Every single sound all day and all night come right through the door. Cockroaches too.
Did I mention we were traveling with a one year old.
Never ever will I go back.

Stumbled and fell, coming out of elevator where tile met the carpet, at a hotel in Baltimore. Got a little rug burn on my left knee but didn't think anything of it. Three weeks later I was in the hospital with MRSA. Went thru seven operations and spent three months in the hospital. After that I spent ten months in a nursing home for wound treatment and physical therapy.
frickit you win I am out!

A good many years ago at a downtown hotel in Mobile, I used my card key to enter the room and there was already some guy in the room with only his underpants on. I rushed back to the front desk and complained - they gave me another room for free that night

Bob White Motel in Sylacauga, Al.
Had to try to find a motel late one night and hit this place up because it was closer to our job than any others. Get my room and lay down in the bed and then I start seeing roaches crawling up and down the walls.
I got up and got my stuff and drove and found another hotel.
I've had to stay in some shitty hotel/motels working in construction but this was the topper.
