Eating out for lunch, although it's worth $10/day to get out of the office for an hour.

Fishing equipment since I don't have a boat right now.

I like to think all the money I spend goes to enrich my life or fulfill basic needs, but if I had to pick something, probably beer. I spend a lot of money on beer.

I freaking hate wasting money, but do it all the time. The usual buying prepared prepackaged foods, eating out too much, paying someone to do a repair that I could but don't have time but that doesn't bother me. What bothers me is when I drop some serious jack on RVs, boats and outdoors equipment and they go unused. It not only wastes money but shows I didn't get to enjoy them like I had hoped. What are your biggest wastes of money?

I just did the analysis on our dental insurance and it made me throw up. We pay $80 a month ($960 annually). It covers one annual cleaning for each of us, which costs $75 each ($225 per year). It covers 50% of most everything else. My daughter had a minor issue that cost us $220, so it covered $220.

So over the past three years, I've paid $2880 for dental insurance and received about $895 in benefit. It also has a $1500 maximum annual benefit. It would take several years of maxing out the benefit for us to see a positive. Thinking of dropping it and putting it in to an HSA.

20gb of data monthly on Verizon. I never use it all. Wish it rolled over.

I have 6gb a month and that is more than I need. Do you use your phone as a mobile hotspot?

That runs you around $100/mt I bet

Hey Rebloke, even though a lot of OT'ers think you are a flake, I actually like your threads and I find this thread very well thought out.

I have wasted money for the past 20 years. pitching machine. hammock. electric saw cause i thought i would do a lot of wood making. countless concert tickets when I don't end up going to the concert.

Casino. Like craps with all the old men. Don't know if I would call it a waste because I do enjoy it, and don't have other expensive hobbies

Golf membership. I play enough for it to pay for itself but the way I played today it feels like a huge waste of money
