A military history of Operation Bagration, the 1944 Russian army offensive that drove the Wehrmacht from Russian soil all the way to Germany's eastern borders. As military disasters go, this one was, for the Germans, far greater than their defeat at Stalingrad.
Also reading Gravity's Rainbow.

I am really enjoying this one. It is the first in a trilogy about a guy named Penn Cage. It is set in Natchez, MS and the author is very talented. It's a little like Grisham's early work except I really like Iles' writing style better.
ETA: It's very light reading, good for the beach, etc.

Little big man.
Fantastic book.
I read it when I was 10 (parents didn't read so they didn't censor my books lol), loved it and it stuck with me over the years. Just got it on kindle and it's better than I remembered.

Just finished The Magus by Fowles. Absolutely fantastic book, one of my all-time favorites.
About to read Catcher in the Rye for the first time (yes I am an uncivilized barbarian).

Just started The Spy Who Loved Me by Ian Fleming.
Been reading all the Bond series in sequence and they're great. They're very different from the movies.

The Lords of Discipline by Pat Conroy was $2 on Kindle for a Daily Deal this week, so I finally got around to that. Not my usual genre, but I'm liking it. Also really enjoying This Side of Paradise; missed that one along the way.

Enjoy
Everyone always says the third book is the best but I really loved the second book.
Have you watched the show at all or are you completely blind? If so, I'm jealous. Nothing like reading the story for the first time not knowing what comes next.
