The Atrocity Archives by Charles Stross.
quote:
Lovecraftian spy thrillers involving a secret history of the 20th century, although they are not set in Lovecraft's universe.[1] Horror elements such as the Nazis using higher mathematics to open "gates" to other dimensions are combined with humorous elements satirising bureaucracy. The protagonist of both stories is a computer expert calling himself "Bob Oliver Francis Howard" (a pseudonym, or "craft name", as a person's real name can be used against him—a common feature of systems of magic, or, alternately, a "work name" as used by covert espionage agents) who has been conscripted into a secret British occult intelligence organisation, "The Laundry".

Don't get me wrong. I didn't hate it. I just see where people prefer the layout of Sanctuary.
I wrote my thesis on Darl.
It's funny, but awful at the same time. Some of the grotesque humor is good though

On the 7th book of the Gabriel Allon series by Daniel Silva. I finished all the Mitch Rapp books right before Vince Flynn passed away. This series is pretty good, but I liked the Mitch rapp series better.

I am making my way through the works of John Scalzi after reading "Redshirts" and loving that book. He's a great author
Yep. Which are you on?

The Sandman series by Neil Gaiman
The Saga of the Swamp Thing by Alan Moore.
Two absolutely incredible writers who's words can only be described as beautiful.

The Moonstone by Wilkie Collins. One of the first true detective novels and some say the inspiration for Sherlock Holmes.
