For you middle age posters, what are you getting your mom for Christmas?

The last few years there has been a musical coming to Birmingham that she wants to see so I bought us tickets and then took her out to a nice dinner, etc and made a weekend out of it. She still lives in my hometown and I live in Birmingham so an all expenses paid weekend in Birmingham is a lot of fun for her. This year the tickets to a musical isn't really an option because there isn't a good one coming anytime soon.

The Lion King is coming early next year. My wife and I already got tix

My brother, sister, and I are going in together to get a beach house for the whole family at a place where we used to vacation every year as kids. My mom is going to sob tears of joy.

No shite. He was about 14 or so. Had such a future planned for himself. Sure he still lurks after getting banned a few times.

Yeah, I saw that but she saw it in NYC. I still might go that route but wanted to look at some other options.

That's a great idea. I'm going to talk to my brother about this. Thanks!

A candle to light in her memory. She passed three months ago.

Damn. Sorry to hear that. I lost my dad back in 2011. Losing a parent is tough, especially during the holidays. I hope it all works out for you and your family.
