A lot of my stuff is in that style. Old country roots. Good lyricism and soul are hard to come by in modern country

last night - 6 pack of mickeys, then 1 bottle chardonnay, a few bowls of medical.. sturgill simpson... and then i can't remember after that..

There’s an absolute shitload of great country out there that doesn’t get played on the radio. These guys (Stapleton, Tyler Childers, Whiskey Myers, Jamie Johnson, Cody Jinks, Turnpike Troubadours, etc) aren’t radio country but they can hold their own with the greats like Merle and Waylon.
