Actually, that helps by giving banks greater reserves to use as a basis for lending. Especially if you use a local bank or credick union.

Unlikely that it won't be renewed at that time. Raising taxes, especially on the middle class, will be highly unpopular.

Considering in the previous century there hasn't been a period where tax rates have stayed the same for longer than 10 years, I'll take that 10 years of savings running!

Also I'm willing to bet 99% of people don't know why the rate expires after 10 years. Hint: It's not because they didn't want to keep it in.
