I have to drive through Baton Rouge on I-10/12 and despite my best efforts I will likely be coming from the west over the Mississippi River Bridge in the evening, hope to be hitting the bridge around 6-630pm.

What are the peak times of traffic and when will they die down? If I need to make an extended stop at Billy's Boudin in Scott to avoid traffic I will. Just want to be generally prepared.

(I recognize I will get a ton of sarcastic answers, appreciate any advice).

What day?

Chances an 18 wheeler is stalled on the Bridge or an accident at Lobdell 415

You will likely have a bunch of bs responses and very little traffic.

you should be fine by 6:30 but if it's on a Friday pack road flares, beef jerky, and lube

You just fricked yourself. At least 3 18 wheeler accidents between Lafayette and Baton Rouge.

I'm purchasing extra boudin balls for this exact eventuality.

small windows from 9-11 and from 1-3 are the least bothersome accidents not withstanding

from 3-8pm is clusterfrick and your better off riding a bicycle
